Bag Care Instructions
Your AiO bag is crafted with quality materials and attention to detail. With proper care, it will serve you well for years to come. Follow these simple guidelines to keep your bag looking its best.
General Care Tips
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe your bag regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt
- Avoid Overloading: Don't exceed the bag's capacity to prevent strain on seams and zippers
- Store Properly: When not in use, store your bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
- Use Dust Bags: If provided, store your bag in its dust bag to protect it from dust and scratches
- Keep Dry: Avoid exposing your bag to excessive moisture or rain
Cleaning Your Bag
For Fabric Bags:
- Spot clean stains immediately with a damp cloth and mild soap
- Gently blot the stain—do not rub vigorously
- Allow the bag to air dry completely before use
- Avoid machine washing unless specifically indicated
For Leather or Faux Leather Bags:
- Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth
- Use leather cleaner or conditioner specifically designed for the material
- Test any cleaning product on a small, inconspicuous area first
- Avoid harsh chemicals, alcohol-based cleaners, or abrasive materials
Protecting Your Bag
- Water Protection: Consider using a water-repellent spray suitable for your bag's material
- Avoid Sharp Objects: Be careful with keys, pens, and other sharp items that could scratch or puncture the material
- Color Transfer: Avoid contact with dark or brightly colored clothing that may transfer dye, especially when the bag is new
- Heat Exposure: Keep your bag away from direct heat sources like radiators or car dashboards
Maintaining Hardware and Zippers
- Keep zippers clean and free from debris
- If a zipper becomes stiff, apply a small amount of zipper lubricant or rub a graphite pencil along the teeth
- Clean metal hardware with a soft cloth to prevent tarnishing
- Avoid forcing zippers or clasps—if stuck, gently work them free
Dealing with Stains
- Oil-based stains: Blot immediately and use a specialized stain remover for the material
- Ink stains: Dab gently with rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab (test first on hidden area)
- Water stains: Blot excess moisture and allow to air dry naturally
- Stubborn stains: Consult a professional cleaner specializing in bags and leather goods
Long-Term Storage
- Stuff the bag with tissue paper or bubble wrap to maintain its shape
- Store in a breathable dust bag or pillowcase (avoid plastic bags)
- Keep in a cool, dry place with good air circulation
- Check periodically and air out to prevent musty odors
What to Avoid
- Machine washing or dry cleaning (unless care label specifically allows)
- Direct sunlight for extended periods (can cause fading)
- Harsh chemicals, bleach, or strong detergents
- Hanging heavy bags by their straps for long periods
- Exposing to extreme temperatures
